Anna Juanita Mitchell, age 91 of Clinton, passed away at her home August 9, 2013. She was born October 28, 1921 in Etowah, TN to the late Dixie and Roy Johnson. She was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church in Clinton and was employed for over 25 years at Magnet Mills. In later years she worked in alterations at Proffitts Dept. Store in Oak Ridge. Juanita enjoyed sewing, cooking, oil painting, traveling and family activities. She especially enjoyed bowling and was for many years a member of both Oak Ridge and Clinton leagues. She enjoyed entering and attending the state and national bowling tournaments. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hermon Mitchell; brothers, Jackie and Ray Johnson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her doctors, nurses and caregivers, especially Covenant Hospice Care of Oak Ridge.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 13th from 5-7PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. A Remembrance service will follow with Pastor James Saylor officiating.
