Joyce Burgess York, age 77, departed this life November 15, 2011. She was born July 20, 1934, to Charles and Fannie Burgess. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1954. She is preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, William Earl York; her parents and 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by sons James (Buddy) and wife Bobbie York, William and wife Terrie York; daughters, Melissa Tuck, Tammy Davis, Bunny and husband Tracy Simonds, Sarah and husband Ed Mence; special friend, James McCarroll; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 19th from 12-2PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Graveside service will follow at Zion Cemetery in Claxton with Nephew Paul Carter officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.holleygamblefh.com
