Jordan Thomas Duncan went home to be with his Savior on March 6, 2015. He was born to the late Elijah F. Duncan and Nellie D. Duncan on October 26, 1922. He was the patriarch of a large and extended family. His example of a Christian man, strong work ethic and dedication to family will be long remembered. We will also remember his ability to grow anything, resulting in huge vegetable gardens, fruit trees, grape vines and beautiful flowers. Roses were his passion. He always shared this bounty with family and friends. He served in the CC Camps before volunteering for service in WWII. He was proud of being an US Navy veteran and told great stories about the mountain boy, who had never seen water deeper than a pond, when he was on the ocean. He was a member of Jarnigans Chapel Baptist Church, VFW-Clinton Chapter and the Masonic Lodge of Briceville.
In addition to his parents, Jordan was preceded in death by brothers, Dewey and Ellis Duncan; sisters, Nerva Jane Phillips, Carrie McKamey, Kathleen Rose, Irene Bunch and Geraldine Herrman.

Grandchildren: Patrick and Shannon Wilson, Amy Wilson, Joshua and Kalie Stidham, Jordan Duncan, Jesse Duncan, Douglas and Kimberly Stringfield, Daniel and Melanie Berry, Elijah Duncan, Nicholas and Aimee Duncan, Lorie Duncan and Amanda Duncan.
Great grandchildren: Max Wilson, Ada Mae Wilson, Jeremy Duncan, Haley Duncan, Skylar Duncan, David Duncan, Avery Stringfield, Emery Stringfield, Logan Berry, Shae Berry, Amelia Duncan, Darium Steen, Jake Wilson, Jaylon Freeman and Nate Freeman.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 9th from 6-7:30 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. A memorial service will follow with Rev. Calvin Braden officiating.
