Johnny "John" Kelly, age 68, of Clinton passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 11, 2024. John was born September 29, 1956, in Anderson County, TN to the late Earl and Minnie Kelly. He retired as supervisor at Riley Foods, formerly JFG, in Knoxville after 40 years of service. An avid outdoorsman, much of his time was spent enjoying "God's country", hunting and riding trails on his ATV through the mountains he dearly loved. John will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Those of us lucky enough to be loved by him will never forget his famous bear hugs or his sage advice. His expertly told tales of glory days and his willingness to always come to the aid of friends and family will be sorely missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Kelly of Clinton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Julia Kelly of Clinton; children, Laura Bull & husband Jeremy of Clinton, and Adam Kelly & wife Josephine of Madisonville; grandchildren, Noah Kelly, Emily Kelly, Aiden Jones, Carson Kelly, Reagan Kelly, Julie Bull; brothers, Carl Kelly & wife Evelyn, Robert Kelly & wife Judy; sisters, Mary Howell and Carolyn Kelly-Smith; sister-in-law, Lana Kelly; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm, Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. His funeral service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Jay Bell officiating. Friends and family will meet at 1:30 pm, Monday, November 18, 2024, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home and go in procession to Anderson Memorial Garden for a 2:00 pm graveside. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
