John W. (Dub) Stair, age 81 of Clinton, passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tn. Mr. Stair was retired from Martin Marietta in Oak Ridge. He was a Mason of the Clinton Alfa Lodge 376. Mr. Stair was an avid fisherman and a member of TWRA. He loved detailing cars with his friends. He will be sadly missed by many family and friends.
Mr. Stair is preceded in death by his parents. Virgil A. and Edna L. Byrd Stair, brothers, Howard, Malachi and Edward Stair
Survivors include his loving daughter, Rhonda and husband James Dixon of Ooltewah, Tn., Grandchildren, Jaime and Jason Dixon of Chattanooga, Tn., special brother, Eugene and wife Joann Stair of Clinton, Tn., sisters, Mary Stair Wilson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Juanita Stair of Powell, Tn. and Onah Stair and husband Fred Fox of Clinton, Tn. Special Caretaker, Marietta Williams of Jacksboro, Tn., several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00pm with the funeral following at 8:00pm in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, Tn.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Second Baptist Church, Children's Worship at 777 Public Safety Drive, Clinton, Tn. 37716. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
