John Thomas, "J.T.", Land, a devoted husband, father, son, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 2, 2025, at the age of 46. J.T. fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer showing unwavering strength, dignity, and grace throughout his journey.

He was known for his adventurous spirit, his enduring resiliency, his dependable nature, and his steadfast faith. His family was the center of his life; his wife, Kristen, his daughter, Zayne, and his three stepchildren, Zavie, Zayden, and Zander were his greatest joy.

J.T. was born on July 3, 1978, in Knoxville, TN to his parents Peggy Jean York and the late George Thomas Robert Land.

He spent most of his career impacting the lives of students at Clinton Middle School. He then began a new chapter as a commercial truck driver. Both in the classroom and behind the wheel, J.T. had a strong work ethic and a genuine care for others.

J.T. loved spending time with his family and friends. Whether it was watching the kid's sporting events, cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds, or sailing on a cruise ship, J.T. was always up for an adventure. He loved seeing new places, trying new foods, and cherishing every moment.

J.T. is preceded in death by his father, George Thomas Robert Land; his first wife, Heather Land; his grandparents Eugene and Gladys Lynam; his grandfather George Land and wife Bobbie; and his grandmother, JoAnn Kurland.

He is survived by his wife, Kristen Land; his daughter, Zayne Land (7); his three stepchildren, Zavie (18), Zayden (17), and Zander (14) Ford; his mother and stepfather, Peggy and Rob York; his stepmother, Pat Land; his brothers, Alex Land and wife Kelly, and Elliot Land and wife Adrian; his stepsister, Amanda Kujda and husband Jason; his father and mother in law, Phillip and Barbara Bridges; and many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, and nephews who all loved him so dearly.

J.T. is now at peace, held in the embrace of eternal love. His legacy continues to live on through the generous gift of organ donation. Though his earthly journey has ended, his spirit lives on in the presence of God and in the hearts of those who will carry his memory forward.

The family will receive friends at Holley Gamble Funeral Home at 621 S Charles G Seivers Blvd, Clinton, TN 37716 on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm with a service to follow.
