John "Johnny" H. Brummett, age 68, of the Heiskell community, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016. He was a member of the South Clinton Baptist Church and retired from K-25 after 30 years of service. He was a Vietnam Veteran that received the Purple Heart while serving his country in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout his life he loved to hunt, fish, camp and was an avid outdoorsman. Preceded in death by his parents; Warren and Pauline Brummett; sister, Becky Brummett; brothers, Louis, Barry, Jerry, and Garry Brummett; father-in-law, Kyle Irwin; brother-in-law, Marty Martin.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. His funeral service will follow in the chapel with Rev. Allen Giles officiating. Johnny's graveside will be 11:00 am, Thursday at Sinking Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Sinking Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 1039 Mountain Road, Clinton, TN 37716.
