Joanne Lindsay Deal, age 80 of Clinton, passed away on December 16, 2011 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on December 21, 1930 to the late Henry and Margaret Lindsay. Joanne enjoyed being a military wife and traveling. She also enjoyed her crafts, sewing and cooking for her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Joanne is preceded in death by her husband, CSM (Ret.) James Deal.

The family will receive friends at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 6-8PM with a memorial service to follow at 8:00PM with the Rev. Elaine Ruth officiating. Joanne's graveside will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Lynnhurst Cemetery in Knoxville at 10:00AM. In lieu of flower the family asks for donations to be made to the Campbell County Honor Guard, 205 School Road, Jacksboro, Tn 37757 in memory of Joanne Deal.
