J.L. Pack, 74 of the Dutch Valley community in Clinton, died August 29, 2012. He was a very loving husband of 46 years, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family and children. He was the founder of Oak Ridge Pest Control and worked in the area pest control business for over 50 years. He was a long time member of Dutch Valley Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an ordained Deacon for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his father, Haywood Pack; mother, Rose Lee (Silvers) Pack; brothers, Lloyd Pack and Larry Pack, all of Georgia.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna (Wilson) Pack; sons, Jonathan Pack and wife Misty, Jeffrey Pack and wife Alicia, all of Clinton; brothers, Tony Pack of Dayton, TN, Rev. Hubert Pack, George Pack, Keith Pack and Ford Pack; sisters, Bessie Faye Ralston, Bonnie Lou Walker and Barbara Smith all of Georgia; grandchildren, Kaylee Pack, Lindsey Pack, Heather Pack, Logan Pack and Emma Pack; great grandchild, Aedyn Pack; host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 31st from 6-8PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 1st at 11AM at Dutch Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Long Family Cemetery in Dutch Valley.
