Jimmie Ray Roberts, 86, passed away on Wednesday August 13, 2025, at UT Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee, the city where was born and spent most of his life.

Jimmie proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Following his military service, he built a lifelong career as a truck driver—a profession that took him across countless miles and many highways and became a defining part of who he was.

He is survived by Wanda Roberts, mother of his sons Jimmy Roberts and Jamey (Beverly) Roberts; grandchildren Jordan and Alex Roberts, McKenzie and Sarah Hogan; and great-grandchildren Wesley Townsend, Decker Gilbert, and Ridley Gilbert, who loved her "Pop Jim." Several nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Lilly Roberts; his sisters Helen and Shirley Roberts; and brothers Sam and Gene Roberts.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May his legacy bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.

Services for Jim will be Saturday August 23, 2025 at Farmers Grove Baptist Church, 133 Farmers Grove Lane. Visitation is 12pm-2pm. Funeral at 2pm and burial to follow in the church cemetery with full military honors.
