Jewell Stelmo Boshears, age 77, of Powell, passed away on December 22, 2025. She was born on August 7, 1948 to the late Arthur Christian and Alice Farner.

Jewell is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Alice Christian; Father of her children, Leon Poteet; Husband, Leland Boshears; Siblings, Curt Christian, Herbert Christian, Charles Christian, Clay Christian, Jimmy Christian, Bett Eckert, and Gladys Jones.

She is survived by her son, Michael Poteet and wife Leslie; daughter, Sherrie Hanson and husband Jeff; sisters, Pat Pauley, Phyllis Fultz, Jane Lambert; grandchildren, David Evans and wife Madison; Lance Evans and wife Brittany; Trey Poteet, Kyleigh Poteet, and Karlee Poteet; great-grandchildren, Eliza Evans; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends at Holley Gamble Funeral Home on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 12 noon until 2 PM. The funeral service will begin at 2 PM with a graveside service to follow at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
