Jerry LeRoy Richardson, 70, died Sunday, April 17th, 2016 in his home in Clinton following a 2
year battle with melanoma cancer.
He leaves his wife, Linda Crawford Richardson; his daughter, Cynthia Boyd (Robert); his son,
Kevin Richardson (Amber); his step daughter, Amber Clifton (Michael); 6 grandchildren, Corey,
Katelyn, Carly, Cole, Ella, and Elin; and many siblings, Jack Hargrove (Jean), Janie McPherson
(Vern), Rick Mills (Liz), Ann Wilkes (Ace), Bobbie Arnold (Everett), Carolyn Nelson (Jim), Brenda
Hampton (Ron), Trish Whitt, Wayne Richardson (Barb), Bob Richardson, Chuck Richardson
(Marty), Joe Richardson (Carol), Bill Richardson (Leah); and numerous nephews, nieces,
cousins, and in-laws.
Born and raised in Earle, AR, the son of Willard Richardson and F. Connie Houston.
Jerry served six years in the US Army including two tours of combat duty in Vietnam. He was in
the 82nd Aviation Airborne battalion as a communication specialist.
After the military, Jerry worked for the Naval Research Lab, Bell South, and later formed his own wiring business.
Jerry's hobbies and activities include photography, music, acting, scuba diving, and travel. He
was an active member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton, TN where he served with the media
team and was a member of the Eternal Riders motorcycle ministry.
Preceded in death by his father and mother, brother Jack and BIL Ace Wilkes.
Services will be held at Second Baptist Church in Clinton, Thursday April 21. Receiving of
friends from 5-7pm with service to follow. Burial Friday April 22 at Tennessee Veterans
Cemetery 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Research Hospital,
