Jerald Lee Alley of Clinton, born to the late Zelmer and Pauline Alley, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. He graduated from Norris High School and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Clinton. Jerry retired from Bell South after 33 years of service. After his retirement he enjoyed working on his farm and spending time with his family. He was known for his quick wit and his eyes would let you know he was thinking of something to say.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his in-laws, Clyde and Anna Lou Reynolds; sister in-law, Barbara Reynolds Moore.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Jane (Reynolds); sons, Mark (Pam), Mike (Cheryl) and Neil (Lee Ann) all of Clinton; brothers, Wayne (Jo Ann) and Joe (Colleen) of Clinton; brother in-law, Ronald Moore of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Cody, Logan, Emma, and Gracy; step grandchildren, Jesse Goins (Andi), Cody Goins (Amie), Benca Flippen (Travis) and Michael Lowe (Brandy); six great grandchildren, Jake, Molly, Brinlee, Braylen, Ryker and Maggie. A host of aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A special thanks to his Angel Caretaker, Patty Fritts, and to Keith Sharp and Kenneth Scruggs for their Sunday morning visits.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 28th from 5-7 PM at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Darryl Taylor and Rev. JC Newman officiating.
