Obituary

Jeffrey Alan Lowe, 78 of Clinton, passed away in his home on August 23, 2025. Jeffrey was born May 7, 1947 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Stella Taylor Lowe and Loyle Lowe. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, Airborne during the Vietnam War. He later started working as an Apprentice at the Oak Ridge plants and continued to work as a Millwright before retiring after 39 years.

Jeffrey enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting. He enjoyed fishing and riding in his boat. He was also a collector of many items. He loved his family and he loved his dogs. He was also known as the "Tennessee State Flag Man" where he enjoyed educating people on the correct position of the Tennessee State Flag.

Jeffrey was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, stepfather, brother and uncle. His family was important to him. He is survived by wife, Delinda Day Lowe and 4 step children: Donovon, Adriana, Alvin Kincaid, and Danielle Gentry; Son, Kenneth Lowe and wife Kristie; Grandson, William McKinley Lowe; Extended grandson, Brady Atkinson; Brothers, Michael Lowe and wife Nancy, Samuel Lowe and wife Lois; Nephews and nieces, Micheal Lowe, Michelle Bowling, Elizabeth Hawkins, and Samuel Lowe; Ex-wife, Dorothy Lowe.

He is preceded in death by Grandparents, McKinley and Josephine Lowe, Oscar and Julia Taylor; Parents Loyle and Stella Lowe; Niece, Renea Lowe.

Receiving of Friends will be from 6-8 pm on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 8 pm. A Graveside service with Full Military Honors will be at 11 am on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Rains Grove Cemetery in Caryville.
