On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, the world lost a truly special, precious, remarkable soul—Jeffrey Todd Eledge, 56, of Oak Ridge. But while we say goodbye to his physical presence, we celebrate a life absolutely brimming with joy, love, and that signature smile that could light up any day.

To know Jeffrey was to understand what it truly means to love life. His infectious enthusiasm—expressed through those legendary jazz hands—was his superpower! A spirit as genuine as they come that celebrated every single moment, he showed everyone around him what genuine happiness looks like. Yes, he had special needs, but that word doesn't begin to capture who Jeffrey really was—he was simply, beautifully, downright perfect in every way that mattered.

Jeffrey lived big. He dreamed of racing through life in a red Porsche, channeled his inner Speed Racer through Fast and Furious movies, loved COPS, and tackled the air guitar with serious rock 'n' roll credentials. In earlier years, Jeffrey found joy in bowling lanes and horseback riding.

But perhaps his greatest achievement was proudly walking in the Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome alongside his littlest buddy, "Nug"—a bond so special and unique that it became legendary. Even Spiderman himself recognized Jeff's spirit, presenting him with a medal that this true hero will always treasure.

His family at Emory Valley Center (including his housemates, Brian and Charlie) will feel his absence deeply. The caregivers and friends whose lives he touched know the truth: Jeffrey didn't just live among us; he taught us how to truly live.

Receiving of Friends will be from 4:00-6:30 pm on Monday, June 29, 2026 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home with a Funeral Service beginning at 6:30. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 3:00 pm.
