Janis Page
Daniel
Jun 10, 1947 — Jul 11, 2026
Knoxville
Janis Page Shelton Daniel, age 79, of Claxton, TN went home to be with the Lord whom she so diligently served throughout her life.
The Lord blessed Janis with a wonderful life and family who cherished her for her wisdom and love. Janis did not graduate high school but she proved that determination knows no age when she earned her GED in 1986—a testament to her unwavering spirit and hunger for growth. As a devoted homemaker, Janis was the heart of her household, raising her children with a patient hand and a loving heart that became the foundation upon which her family was built. Her greatest pleasures came from the pages of books that expanded her mind and imagination, but perhaps nothing brought her more joy than the competitive thrill of Nintendo, particularly the Legend of Zelda. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren have all had the opportunity to watch her play and see her competitive spirit. Janis’s light did not go out, it’s woven into everyone who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by parents, Frank Nelson Shelton Sr. and Sarah Helen Bright; Brothers, Frank N. Shelton Jr, David G. Shelton, Dale F. Shelton, Billy J. Shelton and sister, Rosa L. Galyon.
Survived by husband, Charles F. Daniel whom she was married to for 63 years; Children, David Daniel (Tammy), Jeff Daniel (Sheri), Vickie Gray (C.G.); Grandchildren, Brandon Daniel (Salem), Mirranda Rader (Aaron), Joey Daniel (Kayla), Jeffrey Daniel (Lindsey), Bethany Watkins (Tyler), Tara Gray, Jaden Daniel, as well as 14 great grandchildren; siblings June L.
