James Thomas Robinson (J. T.) entered this world April 16, 1979. He left this earth July 1, 2011 surrounded by a host of family and friends. He entered heaven surrounded by a cloud of witnesses that included his Lord Jesus Christ, daughter Ava Lynn, grandparents Bill and Mabel Robinson, Bruce Webster, Jack and Beatrice Thomas, Memaw Madalyne Johnson.

He was a wonderful husband to Jennifer, an amazing father to Ayla Mae and James Thomas II, Robinson; beloved son of Jerry and Jackie (Regina) Robinson. Survivors include father and mother in law Roger and Cindy Carter, brother in law Jason Carter and wife Sunshine, nieces Haven, Hannah, Halle and Harper-Lee Carter, Grandmother Jean Webster. Aunts and uncles Jimmie Gail Jackson, Dwight Thomas, Wayne and Pam Colbenson, Randy and Tina Thomas, Dianne and Robert May, Les and Janet Webster. Many special cousins, brothers and sisters in Christ who have shared in his adventures and misadventures including fizzled fireworks, a missing finger tip, building a boat for the many float trips down the Clinch River. James leaves us with many happy memories during his short 32 years of life. He had the opportunity to share the gospel including a trip to Africa ministering to widows and orphans, to inmates at Brushy Mountain Prison, to Knoxville's homeless community, to his home church at Big Valley Open Door, Andersonville. He witnessed of God's grace and mercy by his personal testimony to many local congregations and to anyone he would engage in conversation wherever he went.

His message today is: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing. II Timothy 4:7, 8.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, 6 - 8 p.m. at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Clinton. A celebration is to be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 8 p.m. with Pastor Roger Carter officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday, July 7, 2 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Marlow.
