James Earl Queener, age 86 of Jacksboro, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at his residence. He was born on November 17, 1931 to the late Virgil "Bud" and Ocie Stevens Queener in Jacksboro. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He worked for the Campbell County Highway Department for many years. He loved farming, hunting and fishing and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Rosie Hill.

He is survived by: wife, Aileen Queener; daughters, Glenda Shoopman and husband James, Beverly Ann Fouts and husband Steve, Teresa Hofstatter and husband Thomas; grandchildren, Adam Shoopman and wife Rebekah, Michael Shoopman, Jacob Fouts and wife Tessa; great-grandchildren, Brynna Fouts, Paityn Shoopman, Arizona Shoopman, Scarlett Fouts, Emerson Fouts; sister, Mabel Irene Hall; special cousin, David Madison; special friend, Dennis Cochran; and many other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 12-2pm with the funeral service to follow at 2pm with the Rev. Jeff Hawkins officiating.
