James A. "Jim" Johnson went to his Heavenly Home on October 17th, 2024. Jim loved the Lord, his family, and his country. He was proud of his military service in the Army where he was stationed in Germany.

Outdoors is where he loved to be, driving his old car or playing golf. He learned how to play golf when he was in Germany and has had five holes-in-one during his lifetime.

If you knew Jim, he probably played a joke (or many jokes) on you. His favorite target being his family, because, he said, they were the most gullible. His family will miss him so much, his big personality, smile, and quick wit.

Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Ocie Johnson; brother, Joe Johnson (Midge); sister, Sue Meinke (Bob)

He is survived by his wife, Jane Johnson; Son, Avery Johnson (Diane); Son, Jason Freels (Beth); Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Receiving of Friends will be held at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton on Wednesday, October 23, 11:00-12:30, immediately followed by a gravesite service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.  holleygamble.com
