James David Hickson, age 74, of Clinton, passed away at his residence on Monday, March 17, 2025.  He was born July 22, 1950, to the late Alvin and Irene Hickson and was a United States Marine Corps veteran.  For many years, he was a truck driver for Eagle Transporation.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Vickie Hickson and Linda Funk.

He is survived by his son, Russell Stooksbury of Andersonville; daughter, Danyell Grant; grandchildren, Isaac Russell Stooksbury and Jaylyn Stooksbury; niece, Angie Phillips & husband Louie; nephew, Robert Parrott and step-niece, Jennifer Stewart & husband Dean.

The family will have a Celebration of Life service held at a later date.  Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.  holleygamble.com
