James Ralph (Jim) Carden of Oak Ridge passed away on December 10, 2016. He was born in Knoxville in 1926 and graduated from Rule High School. Before moving to Oak Ridge in the 1980's he had lived in Hickory Valley and Norris.
After serving during World War II, Jim was employed by Union Carbide until retirement. For much of his adult life, Jim was a champion bowler with many trophies in his collection.
Jim was pre-deceased by his wife, Montice Oleta Jacobs; parents, Roscoe Sharp Carden and Stella Myrtle Cox Carden.
The family will have a graveside service 3:00 pm, Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Norris Memorial Garden. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements. holleygamble.com
