Obituary

James Edward Antrican, 65, passed away peacefully in his home Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 10:59 AM surrounded by his closest family

James was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and JoAnne Antrican. James is survived by his loving wife, Melanie, his children, Jamie (Blake) Cantrell and Chase (Kyle) Harvey and his sister Julie as well as many nieces and nephews. James was an extremely proud papaw to his four beautiful grandchildren: Hanna, Emma, Lane and Lincoln.

James certainly had adventures that he gladly shared the tales of with friends and family. From his escapades while he was a pilot to his hunting stories, he lit up the room regaling the memories. James' love of the outdoors led to him establishing the Buck Ridge Hunting Club with his closest friends while his devotion to the Claxton community shone through during his time as president of the Youth Organization.

James may be most well-known though for his legendary work in Oak Ridge; not only with A&A Mustang but his long standing ownership of Hilltop Muffler Shop. The world absolutely got a little louder when James retired the shop but he enjoyed that too with his utter devotion to classic cars, especially Ford Mustangs.

James will be truly missed. Although his body failed him and took him away from this world, his loving memory leaves a beacon of light for everyone in his family and community.

The family will receive friends at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home on Saturday, August 10th, 2024, from 1:00-3:00PM with the funeral service to follow in the Chapel with Pastor Don Long officiating. Family and friends will travel to Grandview Memorial Garden for James's interment following the funeral service. www.holleygamble.com
