Jackie J. Prater, age 71 of Andersonville, passed away April 29, 2012 at Tennova Medical Center in Powell. He was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was also a member of the Andersonville Masons, Valley Lodge, Number 383. Jackie loved to go hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and spending time playing with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Mildred Meadows Prater; brother, Earl Prater; sister, Jean Maxie.

Rebecca Childress and husband Thomas
Sister: Susan Massmann and husband David
Grandchildren: Danny, Tiffany and husband William Sharp, Scott, Jordan, Shayla, Timothy and Shereese
Great grandchildren: Nathan and Kaitlin

The family will have a memorial service, Saturday, May 5th, at 12:00PM at 540 Mill Creek Rd., Andersonville, TN. Memorial donations may be made to Elizabeth Prater, 540 Mill Creek Rd., Andersonville, TN 37705. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home assisted the Prater family with their arrangements.
