Jack Moore, age 92 , of Lake City passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Clinton. Jack was born on April 24, 1920 in Frye Town, Georgia to the late Rufus and Francis Patterson Moore. Jack and his wife, Marie, were the oldest living members of Clear Branch Baptist Church and Jack was the oldest living Deacon. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served in World War II. Jack enjoyed carpentry, gardening and working outdoors. He worked at Magnet Mills for several years and served as the maintenance supervisor for the East Tennessee Park Service.
In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his brothers, Rufus and Eugene Moore; sisters, Opal Viles and Thelma Cox.

The family will receive friends at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 6-8PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with the Rev. Randy Norton and Rev. Mike Foust officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 10:15AM and go in funeral procession to the Leach Cemetery in Lake City for an 11:00AM interment with full military honors presented by the Campbell County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the East Tennessee Children's Hospital in Knoxville at P.O. Box 15010 Knoxville, TN 37901.
