Jack Keeney, age 80, a life-long resident of Clinton, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Clinton. Mr. Keeney's life was exemplified by service. He retired after 30 years of service with Union Carbide in Oak Ridge and was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force and Tennessee National Guard. He served faithfully in many organizations serving his community starting in politics as the Alderman and serving on the Clinton City Council. Mr. Keeney was the Anderson County Clerk for 12 years and served also as the 1st District Commissioner for Clinton. He was a deacon for many years at Second Baptist Church of Clinton and a member of Clinton Masonic Lodge #376 F&AM and was a 32nd degree Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his wife Toshiko Sakamoto Keeney and daughter, Carol Ann Keeney.

Juliet, TN; son, Thomas Mark Keeney & wife, Julie Keeney of Los Angeles, CA; granddaughter, Cristen Keeney Holden & husband Josh Holden; sisters, Inez Keeney Brown of Atlanta, GA, & Oleane Keeney Martin of San Antonio, TX; great-grandson, Jaxton Holden of Clinton, TN; nieces & nephews, Mary & Stanley Brown, Paul Brown, of Atlanta, GA and Debbie & David Martin of San Antonio, TX; step-daughter, Kimra Loy Merritt & husband Doug Merritt; step-daughter-in-law, Deborah Loy; grandchildren by marriage, Sydney Merritt Jenkins, Lara Merritt, Matthew Loy & wife Andrea, Makenzie Loy Pardita & husband Danny; great-grandchildren by marriage, Kenneth Merritt, Hannah Rhodes & Mary Grace Jenkins;

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 1:00-2:30PM at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with a Masonic service at 2:30PM followed by the funeral with Pastor Terry Baker of Clinton First Baptist Church officiating. Graveside services to follow funeral at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Clinton with full military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
