Iva Lee "Toni" Carpenter, age 90, of Clinton passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton and worked at K-25 and Clinton Middle School. Throughout her life she loved traveling across the United States with her husband, being outdoors, and spending time with her family. Preceded in death by her husband, Von H. Carpenter; parents, Daniel & Lillie Webster; son, Terry Carpenter; sister, Susie Reed and brother, Daniel Webster Deerman, Jr.

She is survived by:

Daughter-in-law. Carol Carpenter
Brothers. Kenneth Deerman & wife Diane
Woodson Deerman & wife Carolyn
Grandchildren Robert Carpenter & wife Windy
Tim Carpenter & wife Risa
Several nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren

The family would like to thank the staff at Morning Pointe Assisted Living whom they considered their extended family who took care of Toni during her illness. Also, a special thanks to their church family at First Baptist Church Clinton and special friends on Delta Street in Clinton for their lifetime of love and friendship.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following in the chapel with Rev. Stan Elliott officiating. Her burial will be 11:00 am, Wednesday at the Woodhaven Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to The Family Life Center at First Baptist Church Clinton, P.O.
