Iola June Nelson, age 78, went to her heavenly home on May 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

In her spare time, she enjoyed going to church where she was a member at Island Ford Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers, crafting and gardening, and enjoying a cup of coffee with her neighbors, Harry Phillips and Cathy Beets.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Troy Nelson; dad, Robert Violet; mom, Melda Violet; brothers, Bobby (infant), Robert "Bob", Roy Lee, and Donnie Wayne Violet; and sister, Doratha Violet Lawson.

She is survived by her grandson, Paul Troy Ford; granddaughter, Madison Hemphill "Doodle Bug"; son, Gary Nelson; brothers, Claude, Johnny, and Marshall "Rusty" Violet; sisters, Virginia Mae Webb, Nina Carden, Marsha "Lucy" Hensley, and Sandra Michell White; special friends, Jackie Phillips and dad James Disney.

Visitation: Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, TN.

Funeral Service: To follow at 7:00 PM

Graveside: Sunday, May 24, 2026, friends and family will meet at Island Home Baptist Church Cemetery for a 1:00 PM graveside service.
