Horace Carl King Sr., age 94, of Caryville, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was born in Benton, Tennessee to the late William and Mattie Pinson King. Horace was a lifetime member of the Island Ford Baptist Church; he loved his church and his church family. He was also a 67 year member of the Loyal Order Moose Lodge in Oak Ridge #1316. Horace enjoyed gardening and yard work. He will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Rocky Top, TN on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 5-7PM with the funeral service to follow at 7:00PM with the Rev. Charles Harness officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 10:30AM and go in funeral procession to the Island Ford Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00AM interment. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in remembrance of Horace to Island Ford Baptist Church at 317 Offutt Road Clinton, TN 37716.
