Herman Edward Fritts

September 15, 1937 - March 19, 2016

Herman Edward Fritts, a long-time resident of Clinton, Tennessee and Covina, California passed away on March 19, 2016 in Clinton, Tennessee at the age of 78.

Herman was born in Norris, Tennessee on September 15, 1937 to Luther T. Fritts and Ivoria Vell Reed.

He was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He was an avid lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing, long walks throughout town, coin collecting, and Tennessee football. He was a beloved father, grandfather, husband and family member. He was a kind friend to all he came across and loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Fritts, his daughters Deborah Fritts-Rodriguez of Covina, CA and Valerie Alarcon of Knoxville, and his two granddaughters, Amanda Alarcon of Knoxville and Lauren Rodriguez of Covina, CA, and his sisters Charlotte Franklin, Mickey Neyman of Caledonia, MS, and Sue Harmon, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton for family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Train a Dog Save a Warrior project.

He will be greatly missed and always remembered.
