Hayes Roy Gray, age 85 of Clinton went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2010. He was born on May 14, 1925. The eldest son of the late Milas and Emma Gray. He was a member of Farmers Grove Baptist Church where he was a deacon and a former Sunday School teacher. He served in the U. S. Army in World War II and was proud to serve his country. He then returned home to work on the farm until he got his training as a technician to work on all models of cars and trucks.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lou Miller Gray; son, Robert Allen Gray; father & mother, Milas & Emma Gray; a special sister-in-law, Faye Byrge Strunk who was one of his caregivers; brothers-in-law, Clarence Crumpley and Lawrence Alley; also aunts and uncles.

Several cousins, nieces and nephews. He also leaves a special caregiver, Marilyn Collins who was a great Christian friend. He also leaves a great church family whom he loved dearly. They were his brothers and sisters in Christ, including his pastor, Joe Coopeland and wife Sue.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 6-8PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral at 8:00PM with Rev. Joe Copeland and Rev. Tom Byrge officiating. Family & friends will meet at Farmers Grove Church Cemetery on Friday, August 20th at 11:00AM for graveside services.
