Harold Eugene "Gene" Holcomb, 85, of Clinton, TN, passed away peacefully at NHC Health Care in Oak Ridge, TN, on May 25th, 2025.

Harold was born in Atlanta, GA, on December 17th, 1939, and grew up in Bolton where he attended West Fulton High School. He loved all sports and received a football scholarship to attend the University of Georgia where he studied Business Finance. Harold then held a position as Manager of GAC Finance in Bremen, GA, and served in the Army National Guard.  After moving to Tennessee, he was employed as Manager and Vice President of the Loan Department for TVA Employees Credit Union for 14 years. Prior to his retirement, Harold worked primarily in sales, which he enjoyed greatly, obtaining both a Real Estate Broker License and TN Insurance License.

Harold was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church in Clinton, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerald and Gussie Bell Holcomb; brother, Jack Holcomb; and sisters, Bonnie Armstrong, Mattie Fout, Ann Linsey, Wynell Roper, Dean Webb, and Virginia Holcomb. He is survived and missed by his wife of 56 years, Bobbie Mitchell Holcomb; daughter, Gina Courtney and son-in-law, John Courtney; granddaughters, Katie Farrar and Abigail Courtney; grandson, John Ryan Courtney, all of Clinton; special nieces, Jamie May and Letha Reschke, of Georgia.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Harold's physicians, Dr. Niva Misra of Summit Medical Group, and Dr. Michael Thompson of Thompson Oncology Group, and recognize the caring, supportive staff at NHC HeathCare and CARIS Hospice, all of Oak Ridge.

In honor of Harold's wishes, interment will be at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Smyrna, GA.
