Harold Robert "Bob" Boyd left his friends and family on July 6, 2014, to join his wife, Rue, who passed away September 24, 2012. Bob was born February 20, 1923 in Scott County, Indiana, to Damon and Delia Bayne Boyd. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After that, he and his bride, Rue Marie Melton Boyd settled in Anderson County, Tennessee.
In addition to Rue, Bob was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Carrie Boyd Harmon, Dale Rich Boyd, Grace Boyd Peacock and Zon Boyd. He is survived by five siblings who live in Indiana: three brothers, John (Ann), Arnold, and Jack; and two sisters, Elsie Reynolds and Barbara Keller (Clyde). Bob's gentle demeanor and sense of humor will be missed by his many friends and his care givers at Golden Living Center- Windwood in Clinton.
After visitation and service on Thursday, July 10, Bob will be laid to rest beside Rue in Farmers Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Block House Valley Road. Services were by Brother Joe Copeland. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton was in charge of arrangements. www.holleygamblefh.com
