Hal Gordon Brummett, age 62, of Clinton, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at his residence. He worked for the City of Clinton Police Department and Clinton Fire Department where he later retired. He was an avid hunter who loved fishing and the outdoors.
Hal is preceded in death by his father, James "Peepaw" Brummett; and brother, Randy "Bo" Brummett. He is survived by his mother, Naomi "Meemaw" Brummett of Clinton; son, Bradley Brummett of Seymour; daughter, Brandee Burriss of Corryton; grandchildren, Jakob and Coby Brummett, Caitlyn and Karlee Burriss; brother, David "Mick" Brummett and wife Pam of Alabama; several nieces and special friends.
The family will receive friends at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2013. A memorial service will follow officiated by Rev. Marty Stooksbury.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation and/or the American Heart Association.
