Grace Spence age 73 of the Claxton community passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved gardening and being outdoors. She enjoyed babysitting her great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hartman Spence; parents, Sam & Altie Phillips and several brothers and sisters.

Daughters: Shirley Wilson & husband Mark, who she considered more like a "son", of Knoxville Katherine Spence of Knoxville

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 5-7PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral at 7:00 with Chaplain Thomas Rayford officiating.

Family & friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 15th at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton for graveside services. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of arrangements. www.holleygamblefh.com
