Glenn Richard Wallace, age 90, passed away August 20, 2010 at Park West Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton and was an ordained deacon. He was also a member of of Coal Creek Lodge #492 and a 32nd degree of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Knoxville. Glen was a World War II veteran and served in the Army Air Force, 336 Service Squadron in the Pacific, achieving the rank of Tech Sergeant. He was self employed for 30 years as a Public Accountant and was a former member of the Accountant Association of Knoxville. He was a former member of the Lake City Jaycees and Clinton Lions Club. He was a master craftsman of wood and enjoyed making cherry and pine furniture in his workshop. He was preceded in death by parents, Ross and Maxie Wallace; brothers, Clarence and Elvin Wallace; nephew & wife, Edward & Marge Wallace; nephew, J. M. Foust.

The family would like to thank the critical care unit and the 4th floor Montvue nurses at Parkwest Hospital, and Statcare Pulmonary Group for their loving care given to Mr. Wallace and his family during his illness.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Clinton First Baptist Church with funeral services following his visitation Rev. Stan Elliott and Rev. Sam Dean officiating. His burial will be 11:00 am, Wednesday at the Grandview Memorial Garden with full military honors and Masonic service at graveside. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Family Life Center, P.O. Box 268, Clinton, TN 37717. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
