Glenn Edward Smith, 65, of Claxton passed away on June 9, 2026. He was a lifelong Claxton resident, a Clinton High graduate, and a member of Riverview Baptist. He loved animals, hot summer days, and late-night doughnut runs. After a recent health battle and surgery, he peacefully passed away at the same hospital where he was born.

His family would like to thank the amazing team at Methodist Medical Center. Dr. Martinez, the local transplant team, and the CCU nurses for all their care and devotion.

Preceded in death by his father, Durrell Smith, and mother-in-law, Helen Rosenbalm.

Survived by his wife of 40 years, Missy Smith, and daughter, Savannah Smith. Mother Georgia Smith, sisters Kathy Breeden, Julia ( Hubert) Green, Judy (James) Kennedy. Brothers Mike (Jeanie) Smith, David (Billie) Smith, and Robert Smith. Father-in-law Larry Rosenbalm, brother-in-law Butch (Jill) Rosenbalm. Countless Nieces and Nephews. Per Glenn's wishes, a graveside service only will be performed by Chuck Kilpatrick and Rev. Mark Kitts. Pallbearers: Mike Smith, David Smith, Robert Smith, Jeff Cannon, Steven Breeden, Butch Rosenbalm, Tracy Wandell, Bert Cagle.
