Mrs. Glenda "Shirley" Jones, age 83 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at UT Medical Center. Shirley lived her life in Anderson County caring for people and being cared for by people that loved her. Many years of her life she spent working at the Norris Tea Room, for Clinton City Schools in the cafeteria, and many local families homes. She did all things domestic from cleaning to cooking and being a nanny not only to Brennan and Zachary but also to the Hoskins girls. She was a loving mother to Bruce who returned that love by caring for her in the final years of her life.

She is of a family of 13 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Bruce Jones &special friend Christy McCourt of Clinton; sister, Nellie Maude Robbins of Clinton; two grandsons, Brennan Jones and Zachery Montsinger.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 24, 2017 from 1-2 pm with services to follow at 2 pm with Rev. Allen Giles. Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements
