Gilbert Malcom Dick, age 73, passed away on January 5, 2026 in Winter Haven, Florida.

Gil was born on December 26 in Jellico, TN. He spent much of his life in East Tennessee where he worked in Health Physics. Gil loved fishing and riding his motorcycle, and dreamed of riding his motorcycle on Dragons Tail one more time.

Gil was a father to Joshua Dick (Vanessa) and Kelly Matthew Dick (deceased). Gil is also survived by his dear brother Sam Dick, Grandchildren Evan and Elyse Aquino, Niece Jamie Charlton and nephews Steve Dick, Andrew Dick, and Dwight Allen Arnold II, as well as extended family and many who knew him over the years.

In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated, and his ashes will be laid to rest near his childhood home in Newcomb, TN, a place that held deep personal meaning to him.

A small memorial will be held at Holley Gamble Funeral Home on March 13, 2026. Visitation begins at 1:00 pm. All who wish to honor his memory are welcome.
