Georgia Human Bridges, age 88 of Clinton passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born May 21, 1921 and was a life-long member of Bethel Baptist Church of Clinton. She was preceded in death by parents, W. R. and Nannie Craig Human; husband, Rufus O. Bridges; daughter, Margaret Gail Gates; son, Floyd Eugene Bridges; grandsons, Brian and Brett Gates; brothers, Ben, Lon, Garner, Wendell and P. D. Human and sister, Dixie Campbell.
She is survived by daughters, Faye Grantham of Clinton and Phyllis Davis (Rick) of Candler, NC; son, Rufus L. (Jake) Bridges (Martha) of Clinton; grandsons, John David Grantham (Lori) and Mitchell Bridges; granddaughters, Candace Wait (Tony), Lindsey Bridges, and Lauren Ragland (Eric), six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews that loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Family will receive friends at Bethel Baptist Church on Saturday, April 3, 2010 from 1 to 3 p.m. at with funeral service at 3 p.m. and burial in the church cemetery immediately following. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is serving the Bridges family.
