George Arthur Singleton, age 90, of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Methodist Medical Center. He was born on March 9, 1926 in Clinton, Tennessee to the late Arthur and Birdie Jones Singleton. George was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during WWII. He retired from the City of Oak Ridge after working there for over 40 years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Singleton; sons, G.A. Singleton and Scotty Singleton; brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 6-8PM with the funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with the
Rev. David Crowley officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:30AM and go in funeral procession to the Anderson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00AM interment.
