Bill Archer, age 63, recently passed away at his home in Norris. He worked many years until his retirement on the Heartland Series at WBIR-TV. Bill was well known around Norris with his little black dog, Laredo, always by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert S. Archer, Sr. and Margaret Smith Archer Sutton; brother, David Archer.
Survivors include brothers, Bob Archer and wife Monica of Knoxville and Jim Archer and wife Dean of Madison, MS.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Norris Small Animal Shelter, payable to City of Norris Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 1090, Norris, TN 37828. Graveside service will be held Saturday, November 10th at 10:00 AM at Norris Memorial Gardens in Norris. Rev. Mahan Archer will officiate.
