Geneva Queener Stokes, age 90 of Lafollette, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Lafollette Medical Center. She was born on January 13, 1925 to the late, Rosa Caroline Queener in Campbell County and was raised by her grandfather, Robert (Bob) Queener. She was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. She liked fishing, bird watching, gardening, and she loved her cats. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football and baseball. She will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Thomas Stokes; son, Bennie Gene Stokes; and son-in-law Don Jordan.

She is survived by:

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 6-8pm with the funeral service to follow at 8pm with the Rev. C.H. Baird and Rev. Donnie Rosenbalm officiating. Family and friends wishing to attend the graveside service will meet at the funeral home on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 12:30pm and will go in procession to the Queener Cemetery for a 1pm interment. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Rocky Top is in charge of these arrangements.
