Obituary


Geneva Ann Spitzer Phillips, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 30th, 2013. She was a native of Lake City, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Arnold L. Phillips, her mother Mary Graham and her brother C.L. (Jack) Spitzer.
She is survived by her sister and best friend Nellie Katherine Spitzer Gamble and half- brothers Donnie and Dennis Graham. She was a "special mother" to her nieces and nephew Gail G. Reed, Laura and Craig Ballew, and Doug and Sybil Gamble. She also was very close to her great nieces and nephews Melissa, Mary, Allen, and Bill along with their spouses. She became an honorary mamaw to Rebecca and her husband Brandon, Regan, Armon, Carder, Josiah and Brooklyn. She is also survived by several members of her late husband's family, The Phillips' of Campbell County.
The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City on Thursday, January 2nd, 2014 from 5-7PM with the funeral service to follow in the chapel with Dr. Larry D. Reesor officiating. Interment will be held on Friday, January 3Rd, 2014 at the Leach Cemetery in Lake City at 1:00PM. Graveside service will be conducted by Jesse Holt. Honorary pall bearers will be Bill Gamble, Allen Ballew, Brandon Watson, Dale Ballard, Anthony Cespedes and Sam Johnson.
