Geneva Blanche Jones, age 96, formerly of Andersonville, Tennessee, died June 16, 2015 at El Reposo Nursing Home in Florence, Alabama. She had previously resided at Merrill Gardens Assisted Living and had lived in Florence since 2008.
She was born in Andersonville, Tennessee, March 23, 1919 to Alice and W.R. Weaver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Jones in December 11, 1986 as well as numerous siblings. She is survived by three children, Joyce Hudson (Thomas) of Conway, Arkansas, Mitchell Jones (Kim) of Taylor,Texas, and Darlene Ballard (Bill) of Florence, Alabama; grandchildren, Dustin Lollar, Nikkia Lovejoy, Browan Job Lollar, Jonathan Knapp, Sarah Knapp, Aaron Jones and Hannah Jones Wilwerding; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by a brother, Glenmore Weaver and numerous nieces and nephews.
For those who knew her best, she will be remembered as person of great strength, both physically, emotionally and spiritually. She will be missed.
Visitation will be held at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, Tennessee Saturday, June 20th from 12-2 PM with funeral service starting at 2 PM. Burial will be in Norris Memorial Gardens following service. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.holleygamble.com
