Gail Strunk, age 84, passed away on June 16, 2026. She was born on May 26, 1942, in Kentucky to Hobart and Maggie Wilhoit.

Gail was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Danny Joe Strunk, who passed away on March 7, 2019; her parents, Hobart and Maggie Wilhoit; her sisters, Mary Agnes, Bea, Nora, and Doris; and her brothers, Rodney and Jimmy.

Gail and Joe were married on January 13, 1961, and shared 58 wonderful years together. Their marriage was built on love and devotion.

She is survived by her daughters, Becki Bass and Julia Mowery; her grandchildren, Bethany Adcock and husband Logan Adcock, Jacob Mowery and wife Katie Mowery, Chloe Favre and husband Brandon Favre, and Mackinzie Mowery. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Kason and Kinsley Adcock, and Emersyn, Oaklynn, Stella, and Millie Mowery. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as special family friends, Steve and Jack Dickinson, whose friendship and support meant so much to her and her family.

A dedicated healthcare professional, Gail devoted 50 years to caring for others. She worked for 24 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant in California and for 26 years as a Unit Secretary in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Her compassion, work ethic, and kindness touched the lives of countless patients, coworkers, and friends.

Gail enjoyed reading, quilting, sewing, needlepoint, crocheting, and playing games on her iPad. She especially loved cooking for family and friends, and she was well known for her homemade bread and rolls, which brought comfort and joy to many gatherings.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Clinton Church of Christ, 500 N. Main Street, Clinton, TN 37716, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

Gail will be remembered for her loving heart, dedication to her family, unwavering, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met. Her legacy of love, service, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
