Freeman Potter, 71, of Clinton, TN, passed away on May 8, 2012 in Scottsdale, AZ, surrounded by his family.
Born on May 14, 1940 in Jackson, KY, he retired as the business manager of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association Local Union 555. He treasured spending time with his family and friends. His love of nature was always on display as he so enjoyed tending to his yard and watching his beloved birds.
Freeman is survived by his best friend and wife, Orphia Potter (Deaton), his children, Orphia Delaine Flynn (Timothy) and Phillip Potter (Betsy), his sister, Alice Mooney, and his brothers Louis, Cecil, Oral, and Dexter, as well as his five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 5-7pm with funeral service at 7:00pm in the chapel with Rev. Dewey Brown officiating.
Graveside services will be Friday, May 18th at 1:00pm at Haddix Cemetery in Haddix, KY. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements. www.holleygamblefh.com
