Clinton resident, Frederick E. Weber, Sr., died at Methodist Medical Center Wednesday morning, September 1, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Virginia (Frantz) Weber and four children; Debbie (Weber) Stolcenburg and her husband, John Stolcenburg of Muskegon, Michigan, Frederick E. Weber Jr. and his wife Eileen (Lovett) Weber of Powell, Sue Ann (Weber) Appleton and her husband Walt Appleton of Clinton, and M. Elaine Weber of Clinton. He also has 9 grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great, great grandchildren.

He served in World War II, participating in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. He was honorably discharged from the Army in December 1945, having won numerous combat ribbons and a silver star.

He was born in Muskegon, MI in 1923 to Fredrick Earnest and Gladys (Birdwell) Weber and has two surviving siblings, Shirley (Weber) Armstrong of Salem, Oregon and Donald and Karen Weber also of Oregon.

Services for family and friends will be held Saturday, September 4, at Clinton Wesleyan Church at 1:00p.m. with Dr. Steven Flick officiating.
