Obituary

Faye Grace Davis, age 86, of Clinton, fell asleep here and awoke in the arms of her Lord and Savior on September 1, 2025. Faye was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, but above all else- she was a professed Child of God.

She was born on September 27, 1938, to the late Leonard Brown and Ella Sweet Brown. She was married to the love of her life and together they had five children, unfortunately only raising four. Faye never let the loss of her child waiver her faith. In fact, the courage she held through such a hardship helped shape her into an immensely strong, hardworking mother who loved fiercely. She worked at Modine Manufacturing for many years and spoke of her time there often. Although they didn't have much, Faye saw to it that her babies were clothed, fed, and loved. She continued that devotion to her family as she grew older and would give anything to anyone in their time of need.  Although she was small in stature, the love she had for her family and friends did not reflect that.

Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Brown and Ella Sweet Brown; beloved husband of 59 years, A.Y. Davis; young son, Charles Dewayne Davis, sisters, Mary Alice Seeber and Bonnie Haney.

Left to cherish her memory are children, Michael Davis and wife Melissa, David Davis and wife Mary Sue, Ruby Salisbury, Chester Davis and wife Jeanette; Grandchildren, Joshua Davis and wife Jennifer, Jerrica Varner, David Glenn II and wife Khia, Stephen Davis and wife Karissa, Whitney Davis, Kevin Carter and wife Audrey, Katelyn Copeland and husband Zach Copeland, as well as a host of many great grandchildren and her beloved "little dog" Twilight, whom stayed by her side until the very end.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Faye's best friend and neighbor Linda Keith, whom loved and cared for her dearly for many years.  As well as her caregivers, Kay, Brenda, Darlene, and Melissa for their compassion and help during such a difficult time
