Eva Tallant Runge, age 88 of Clinton passed away August 6, 2010. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Karns, attended Riverview Baptist Church in Claxton. She was avid craft person and flower arranger. Member of Burchfield Garden Club since 1957, member of Lauretti Phi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi since 1957. She retired from ORNL after 15 years of service and worked for J.C. Penney for many years.

She was preceded in death by husband, Lyle H. Runge; parents, Luther & Jesse Tallant; brothers, Robert & Emory Tallant; sisters, Louise Burgess, Knoxville, Ella Barrentine, Jasper, Alabama; and son-in-law, Neal Nolan, Clinton.

She is survived by son, Emory Runge; daughter, Luanne Taylor and husband, John; grandchildren, Tim & Daniela Runge, Gigi & Marilyn Novelo; great-grandchildren, Oswin Springer & Hannah Belcher; sister, Florence Lockheart of Jasper, Alabama; brother-in-law, Jerry Barrentine of Jasper, Alabama; host of nieces & nephews, and pet Beau.

A special thanks to her caregiver, Sherry Daniels and the staff of Cumberland Village Nursing Home of Lafollette for their compassion and care.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 9, 2010 from 4-6p.m. at Riverview Baptist Church with memorial service to follow at 6:00p.m. with Rev. David Hicks officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
