Ethel Gerber Crawford only 4 days short of her 96th birthday, went home to be with the Lord on April 30th at 6:37 am.  She passed at the Lantern Assisted Living where she has lived for 2 1/2 yrs and was dearly loved by all the workers.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer Crawford, daughter Brenda Ray, granddaughter Leah Ray, her sisters Mildred & Marion and brother, Harold.  Survived by her daughter, Linda Crawford, Richardson (Ray), husband Chuck; and Terry Crawford, wife Tracey.  She has 3 living grandchildren, Cody Ray, wife Julie; Amber Clifton; husband Michael, and Joshua Crawford, wife Ashlee. She has 5 great grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathan, Isabell, Ella, Elin and Caleb; along with several nieces and nephews.

She has been a long time member of United Memorial Methodist in Clinton, worked most of her life at Magnet Mills in Clinton, and later ORAU.  Ethel and Homer enjoyed life, retiring at age 57 and traveled extensively throughout the United States, Alaska, and Canada in their travel trailers.  She was a very interesting lady —witty; crafty, especially cross stitching; loved square dancing and music; and the lake and lots of fishing in her younger days.  Her special gift was helping and caring for so many people.  This special lady will be so missed by all of us, but if given the chance I'm sure she would choose staying in the arms of Jesus.

The family will receive friends at Holley Gamble Funeral Home on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 4:00-5:00 pm with funeral service to follow at 5:00 pm. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service Friday May 3, 2019 at 9 AM at Sunset Cemetery.
